Skin Deep
Beauty DOES go more than skin deep. The skin is the largest organ of the body so it is not surprising that the things we put on our bodies effect our bodies. Did you know that many of the ingredients in your beauty products are toxic and banned in some countries? Did you know that cosmetic products are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration before they go on the market, that toxic and allergenic ingredients do not need to be on the label, and the term “dermatologist tested” is just a marketing technique? Sadly these are facts. The FDA actually states on their website … “Under the law, cosmetic products and…

Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover
At times, I am quite surprised by my judgments and opinions. Recently a friend recommended a book called The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. As she said the name of the book, I wrote it down in my planner. I must have at least 3-4 books on my “to read” list, but for some reason I was avoiding ordering this book. Usually when a book is recommended, I immediately purchase the book or audio. For this book, it was different -there was something that made me NOT want to rush out to get it. However, the constant nagging in my mind along with the “I have nothing better to do but laundry today” urged…

What Makes a Good Leader?
That’s my face when a leader makes these 2 mistakes. I think it actually hurts my heart ❤️. S what makes a good leader? As a leader, you should always want your people/team to grow. Growing people is a great recipe for a growing business. When people feel fulfilled in their personal life, they work harder in other areas of their life. The number one mistake/thing, in my book, is to withhold information. That is, deciding what is best for the people on your team without their input. Now in business, this can happen many different ways. Most leaders want their teams and people to succeed. But sometimes, those same leaders don’t…

DIY: Homemade Deodorant
I finally made the switch to all natural deodorant. I have a “thing” about smell, especially when it comes to my underarms. No deodorant was ever good enough and I always seemed to smell (at least to me). I was using Clinical Strength deodorant and that seemed to finally work for me. Of course, as I became more and more chemically free -I became more and more concerned about the health effects that my deodorant may be causing. Most deodorants contain Aluminum, Triclosan, Propylene glycol (PEG), Parabens, and Fragrances (to name a few). All Chemicals and All “not good for you”! To top it off most of these chemicals have…
